The Life and Times of Marta Mellinger. All things come to an end. Sometimes life overtakes us and this truth has taken on greater meaning for me over the past year. It is with great sadness that I write this final post for Marta Mellinger. Marta passed away on September 13, 2013, overtaken by a particularly rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer. You can read her published obituary at The Oregonian.
